Our December edition featured the work of Toby Messer, a Barnes based artist.
Toby has been painting for 13 years and is continually drawn to Richmond Park and area along the Thames. He loves every facet of the river from the stillness of Beverley Brook in Barnes to the majestic reaches of the Thames at Mortlake and beyond.
His love of Richmond park is boundless. The colours, the historic views and the symbolic deer are his inspiration. Over the years he has endeavored to capture the unique beauty of his tribal grounds in acrylic and oil paint.

Toby donated this painting to the Victoria Foundation. The painting fetched hundreds of pounds for the charity at their winter ball on the 10th December.
