Having tried many a moonlight cinema in my Sydney days, it’s not something I would have necessarily thought of doing in London. It’s now on my summer tick list every year and the summer is not over yet! The Lensbury is launching an outdoor cinema exclusively for the August bank holiday weekend! It’s the perfect setting for an evening with friends, family, or even date night.
Eight metres high, the outdoor screen will be set in the heart of the resort’s leafy grounds and with the River Thames and Teddington lock as a backdrop. A programme of family favourites, new releases, and cult classics will run over the course of the weekend.
To make sure you don’t miss a thing, each guest will be provided with their own personal headset.. which is great for anyone who gets distracted by rustling snacks!
Screenings include Toy Story (Friday 26th August), No Time to Die (Saturday 27th August) and Grease (Sunday 28th August).
All movies start at 8.30pm but guests are encouraged to arrive earlier, enjoy the grounds, set up their spot with blankets, pillows, chairs etc., and enjoy some pre-movie refreshments – food, drink, and snacks (including the obligatory popcorn!) will all be available to purchase.
For those looking to sit back and relax in style, a premium ticket includes the reservation of a classic deck chair. What better way to enjoy a film than under the stars!!
See you there 🙂
