This year’s show is the 116th edition, with over 600 brands across eight sections to cater to every taste. It’s open now at Olympia, and runs over the Easter holidays until Sunday 7 April. The easiest way to go to Olympia is by train, changing at Clapham Junction, or you can take the tube to Hammersmith and then hop on a bus (or walk)

On top of that, the Eat & Drink Festival is under the same roof, bringing together the all manner of modern cuisine, mixology, and an array of diverse global dishes.
This year’s show home, The Dream Home, is massive: the biggest and most innovative house to date to feature at the Ideal Home Show. And for the first time in the show’s 116-year history, all products in The Dream Home are able to be purchased.
The Dream Home has fully furnished rooms created in association with brands, including: Good Home Stylists; Next Home; The Study Bed Company and My Home Solar to name a few. You can stroll around The Dream Home which is all on one level and showcases and interesting range of home décor ideas. Moving from indoors to outdoors, there’s a courtyard garden that invites relaxation and will make you reassess your own garden
The show offers ideas on creating an interior paradise, with access to free talks and demonstrations from celebrity guests and experts. You may spot famous faces from their TV screens, who will share their tips. (When I popped along, John Torode and Lisa Faulkner were on the stage doing a cooking dem).
