Hooray it’s finally here and have you noticed a change in how you feel? Did you know that your DNA is effected by the change in season? Your body chemistry actually changes according to the time of year. Our stress levels, eating habits, daylight and climate all have a different influence on your body. Did you know that your DNA is effected by the change in season? Your body chemistry actually changes according to the time of year. Springtime is a good time to allow the body to open up and shed the stale energy from winter. In yoga we assist this process by doing lots of heart opening, hip opening, backbends and twists. In the colder months many of us go into hibernation mode, so in spring we are emerge like a butterfly from a cocoon!

Balance poses are also common in my springtime classes, to help grounding and focus at a time where our energy can really egnite. Finding your balance when we are perhaps excited and overstimulated from the promise of brighter days and warmer temperatures, but remaining grounded is useful in our everyday life.
